'0' Feedback Bidders?

I am selling a fairly high priced digital camera on ebay
at the moment and the winning bidder at the moment
has '0' feedback and has only been registered for just
over a week.

Should I be worried? I have been ebaying for several
years now but am thinking this is a scam bidder, what
do you guys think?

Hmm, well we all started somewhere didn't we, I'd just make sure I'd got the money before I posted it?

Your right, we all had to start somewhere. I think the first
thing I bought probably cost no more than a few pounds,
same with the first thing I ever sold.

I just have a bad feeling about this one but hope
I am wrong. I won't be posting until the money has cleared
    into my bank account.

Doesnt matter if the money has gone from PP to your bank..PP will put your account in deficit for the amount should there be a refund.
Send special delivery only.Anthing else and your risking the "not arrived in post" cr4p.
If it is expensive, then Paypal will hold your money for 21 days,or until pos feedback is given. So you have to post it.
State you have photos of it working and note all serial numbers down.

I'm a great believer in going with your gut on ebay.
If it's likely to hit a high price, consider cancelling their bid and blocking them.
Or drop them a quick email - if the answer doesn't reassure you, do the above.

You could carry out an advanced search on the bidder to see if they are bidding on several high value items, if they are then they could be upto no good and cancelling their bids and blocking them maybe wise.

Recorded delivery will only compensate for upto £39 any item valued at more than this should be sent special delivery, if it sells for over £150 one of the paypal seller protection requirements is to have a signature on delivery.

In my experience Recorded delivery tracking is very hit and miss and the track and trace website is not always updated which could lead to all kinds of problems should buyer make a claim to paypal

Frequently NOT signed for, and low compensation.

If it's a high value item you'd be nuts not to send it SD.
