While on my weekly shop around my local Wilkinsons I noticed this excellent offer for oven pride, its amazing for cleaning grill pans, oven racks etc. For those we are unaware of this product its here:

Its only £2.29 and I saw it in Sainsburys today at £4.99!

Could anyone say if oven pride is better then cillit bang universal degreaser? I havve tried cillit bang and i think thats pretty good but oven pride may be better?

Thnaks for the tip off! I always buy this at Wilkinsons when its on offer.....they always do this BOGOFF regularly.

Bubbles....this really does have great results and leaves any chrome oven racks looking like new. HTH

Wouldn't use anything else to clean my oven racks now. Guess I am just basically lazy!!
All you do is pop them in the bag pour in the stuff make sure it has covered the racks , zip up the bag and leave for a few hours or overnight.
Rinse in cold water and hey presto as if by magic lovely clean oven racks.
I usually just throw the bag out the back door overnight then in the morning rinse them off.
What could be easier no rubbing or scrubbing. Only effort involved is putting on the plastic gloves!!

Yeah its amazing, better than Cillit Bang! Especially for the price!

I also like this product because it doesn't burn your throat with the strong acidic smells like other products especially the new Flash Ultimate Spray which is so strong!

Oven Pride - fabulous, oven racks look as good as new but BEWARE, it does burn quite badly if the slightest bit gets on your skin, needed a bit of first aid on my arm after using it!

Does this work well on the inside of the oven and what's the best way to do it without burning yourself?

Yeah it works just as well in the oven. Well to avoid buring myself, i try washing up gloves as they cover past your wrists because it really does burn as I have noticed that it also works as a paint stripper!

Word of warning - this product is great but I needed hospital treatment when it flicked in my eye whilst cleaning my top oven - box does say where face protection!!
