anyone point me in the direction of a Deli/shop that sells proper salt beef in the Centre of London ??

loads of sandwich bars do it but no-one seems to sell it "loose" , Sainsbury do a pre-packed version but we are after the "real thing"

i believe you can buy it in selfridges on oxford st. otherwise there is a beautiful jewish bagel shop 24hrs in brick lane, they might sell you a block if you ask...

I think you need to pop up on the Northern Line to Golders Green and visit the Delis there ,and you will find the most delicious salt beef ever. Grodzinski the bakers used to do salt beef sarnies,There is a restaurant in Golders Green Rd ,called something like BLOOMS or similar and they used to sell salt beef to buy for home cooking .hth

thanks, looked at Blooms online (Mum used to go to the Aldgate one !!) got that marked as a last resort then as a bit of a hike from the City for me
