Orthotics friendly shoes?

Could anyone recommend shoes that would take my orthotics? I have quite a narrow ankle, so brands like Hotter tend to flap at the heel and make me look like Donald Duck.

I'd like to look elegant..........................:o

Have you tried Ecco? My podiatrist recommends them.

THank you. I had a look at their winter range, but wasn't too taken with them. Perhaps their summer range will be a bit better for me.

salomon shoes/trainers I got from TLMAxx already had an orthotic shaped insole in them, helped my poor feet no end.

I'm on the lookout for another pair at that price.

Have you tried Mephisto or Waldlaufer shoes? I have some Mephisto Allrounder shoes and they have a strap at the ankle that will hold the shoe on with an orthotic in place. Have a look at a website called cheerfulsoles.
