DVD's not playing

Bought a brand new 4 disc DVD set, and can only get my DVD player to recognise one to play. The others it dsiplays that there's no disc, and you can hear the player 'clicking' but not spinning the disc. The disc that works, is recognised straight away, and you can hear the player spinning. Anything I'm missing before…

It's not the 'Bonus Features' disc that plays, and the others don't is it?

I've had this happen on box sets from the US - sometimes the bonus material doesn't have the copy protection on that the main discs do. My DVD player couldn't read them, but the laptop could.
