Megabus didn't pick me up.

Hi, I didn't know where to post this, I guess here is good?

I booked a coach ticket from cornwall to london with megabus and they didn't pick me up. I waited from 5.10am until 6.30am (coach was supposed to arrive at 5.25am) and it did not come.

I phoned to make a complaint, they told me, it did go through Cornwall and stop at all the stops, I told them it obviously didn't as I am still in Cornwall and not in London.

According to their website I was in the right place at the right time. Yet I am still in Cornwall.

Lady on the phone told me there was nothing they could do and I could write a letter. I wrote a letter explaining the situation and that I would like a refund and an explanation and for them to offer me an alternative way of getting to London as it is their fault I am not where I am supposed to be.

I'm so upset, I had to leave my house at 4.30am and walk 40 minutes to the bus station as taxis round here don't pick up between 3.30 and 6am. I dont know why, they just don't. I am starting work experience in London on Monday I decided I would go on friday as my family live in Essex and I figured I could go and see them for a day, before I went to London. I now can't visit my family.

I really need help. I try to make complaints but I can see this with megabus not sorting it out, as they are in denial. Should I phone back? They didn't even offer a refund.

I would telephone back AND email or write to the head office!
I usd to use mega bus all the time until every bus broke down ( 4 on the run, 10+ hours to get from london to manchester)

I would be polite in the email but state how they are in the wrong and the inconviences caused and how you would like it settled at company level (as they didn't keep to their side of the terms and conditions), if not you shall be seeking legal and proffesional advice.

    Well said Clare!
  • Thankyou very much. So stressed out. I've been polite to them so far, but they are still refusing to accept responsibilty. They are claiming I must hae been in the wrong place or something, but I have checked millions of times plus the town is tiny, no way I could have been. Can't believe they wont just say okay sorry here's your money back or offer me a seat on a different coach.

    Any progress?

Did you get across here to Essex?
"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."
