Make sure from this day forward that he or whoever buys his shirts only buys NON IRON ........... I know they still need a bit of an iron but nowhere near as much as 100% cotton does..... :rotfl:

yes an aquarius, only a month old our old one went caput! was only 5 years old too, the salesman said thats there life span! couldnt believe that as my mum must of had hers at least 25 years!
think thats the trouble with having 3 sons and a husband though, washing machine lives on overtime!
p.s if you have the same one how do you do a quick wash on a 40, my old one had a time saver button but this one doesnt, although i can do a quick wash on a 30 or a 60, bit weird cant do it on a 40

Nowadays the thinking is that modern washing powders etc are meant to work at lower temps, therefore saving money and the environment. It is also only cold fill so that reduces costs too. No idea if that is all true, just what I was told. I have no trouble getting any clothes clean on the 30 fast wash. But I noticed yesterday that you can't d a mini load on the (L) fast wash nor does it spin to the full 1400 either.

    I've been Money Tipped!
My husbands work shirts are 100% cotton

I cannot iron them to save my life, I have tried damp, just out of the tumble dryer. I have even bought the Aldi steam generator iron. This does get more creases out but they still look a mess.

When I am rich I plan taking them to the dry cleaners to be done. When I took a suit the other week a lady had a boot full of shirts to take in. They wash and iron them and fold them lovely into nice bags for I think £1.50 a shirt.

Now thats what I call living!!

If you are really desperate have you tried ironing shirts while damp and using spray starch on them as well?

When I used to work in an office I used to use spray starch on my workshirts - it made ironing them easier and they looked brilliant, actually think will get a can next time Im shopping as Ive got a couple of tops that would look better for it.

All the supermarkets should sell it - I used to get it from the co-op. Dont know if its OS though.

Be careful when you are spraying the starch as it can make the floor underneath slippy!

I have nearly gone flying several times.

Try a water spritzer - like you get from the gardening section for indoor plants or use an old spray bottle and fill with water. I just use that and it seems to get the creases out. I find that you do get a kind of white film sticking to the material with the starch so I prefer the water spritz.
