Help Building Society/Solicitor Lost Prudential Policy.

My daughter needs to sell her endownment policy. Had to get indemnity from prudential as either halifax or solicitor have lost original documents.Prudencial policy home purchaser third series. Start 10/5/1995 end 10/5/2020, £39.30 premium monthly, Basic life cover £26000.00, Minimum death benefit £26000.00. Completed & returned indemnity form, They have replied "no new policy will be issued we will accept these plan details when there is a claim on the plan" Is this ok? If so what other information is required? Who to ask for quotes? Thanks.icon7.gif

Prudential, like many other insurers do not need the policy document back. In the event of a claim, surrender or maturity, a lost document declaration is signed at that time.

They will, quite correctly, not issue a duplicate.
