need a few items - where should I go?

Hi all,

I've noticed in the other threads that you have been disgussing Tesco's value range, Aldi and Lidl etc I've shopped in all 3 plus Asda and I liked them all for different reasons.

I would like to do all of my shopping at Lidl or Aldi but I can never get ALL of the items I need. For example Lidl don't do the rolled oats, only instant oats. Aldi don't do any fruit that is in juice, only in syrup. All of the supermarkets are at least a 15 minute drive away from me and not close to each other, so I don't want to have to go to two supermarkets to get everything I want.

I need;

Porridge Oats
Tinned tomatoes
SR Flour
Tin of peaches
Weetabix
Butter
Bread (preferably wholemeal or granery)
Milk
Pasta
Mushrooms
Washing Powder and Soda Crystals

I'm not bothered about brands, I want cheap and cheerful but my question is - where would you go to get all of those items in one go as cheaply as possible?

Thanks :)

Tesco - that's about the only place I can think where you would get all of those under one roof and also find the soda crystals. All of those bar the bread, milk and soda can be found in the value range.

Ok thanks, I haven't been to Tesco for ages as the last time I went it seemed really expensive, but I'll try to get as much on the value range as possible and see what happens!

    wow that's pretty good. Thanks

Incidently, does anybody know if Tesco do any money off vouchers for instore? (not really much point in shopping online for such a small amount).

Grab as many coupons as you can, a lot of Tesco's (depends on the manager) will take coupons even if you haven't bought the product. Try to find a checkout with a bored looking boy serving :D
