Hi all,
I applied for a morgtage for £90,000 with natwest on the phone a few days back, they offered my a ftb fixed for 5 years at 5.99% which i have taken and return the forms. |I am a natwest and rbs current acc holder so the chap who did the application on the phone checked my accounts to confirm my income an seems to have done a credit check as its showing on my files. My question is, i am overdrawn in natwest, not to the limit and in rbs i end up in my overdraft but not as deep each month, the mortage has gone to the underwriters, i seemed to have passed the credit check so could i fall with the underwriters? I am getting £20,000 plus in a month from a will that will clear any overdrafts, but they are looking now.......

What is the question you want answered?
Underwriters will actually do a statistical analysis of your income and outgoings for at least a year. They will go through a thorough credit check which will look at your credit history for the last six years.
You are right that your overdraft behaviour will not look good for you. But have you provided proof to them that you will receive the £20k will monies? How much are you using for the deposit?Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'
Remember to say thank you to people who help you out!
