There is no such thing as a "silly" question.
I would love to give you a definitive answer ... but sadly, jelly has never lasted outside of my family's tummies longer than 2 days after being made
How long do you need it to last? If you are making a jelly from a packet you don't need to make up the whole packet at a time if you think it won't last the time you need it to. You could make up half the packet then use the other half when you need it. Just remember to halve the amount of liquid/jelly ratio accordingly.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yesterday in Poundstretcher I noticed they have 6 mini plastic lidded containers for £1. Today I have half filled them with a tin of fruit cocktail and poured strawberry jelly on top, when they are set, hey presto, home made FruitiniThe lids come off quite easily too so no struggling for her little fingers.

I bake muffins which are a perfect size for lunchboxes. I also quite like putting in home made smoothies (in some reliable tupperware)My Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.

they are doing the mini lidded tubs in Woolies too, marked at £1 for six reduced from £2. In case that helps anyone. My almost 4 year old was able to open it himself, thats the first small tub that he's managed to open, he was very pleased with himself
And thanks moggins for the tip.Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

i guess you could also do a microwave sponge pudding in these and you could add a bit of custard (you would have to wait for it to cool down before putting the lid on. You could try a variation of different sponges and different custards.0

My 2 take HM yoghurt every day with added honey/nuts/fruit/maple syrup etc. Only problem is they never put the lids back on these tubs when they're finished and although they don't leave much a little yoghurt goes a long way into every nook and cranny of the lunch box.:rolleyes:0

These always go down well with my twins:
Slice orange into thick slices and then cut each slice into four - they are bitesize pieces and are always polished off leaving satifying shards of peel!
Milk jelly - make jelly as normal but when it has cooled a little stir in a 227g can of carnation milk.
I buy big pots of yoghurt and put some in a little tub and then put some yoghurt coated fruits or granola in a smaller tub to sprinkle over.
Melon cut into fun shapes with a cookie cutter or melon balls
Dried fruit/grape/blueberry bracelets - thread a variety of dried fruits blueberries or grapes onto a piece of dental floss (non minty variety) and tie to make a bracelet.
Apple dippers - Rings of apple (soaked in a soluble vitamin c tablet before packing to stop discolouring) served with yoghurt to dip into.
I picked up some fab fruit shaped mini cool packs from Tk Maxx which help to keep everything nice and fresh.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0
