It is eight weeks from when NU send you the acknowledgement letter that they have the complaint. Has that first letter been received?

It is possible that NU dont have the liability. Only if it was sold by one of their employees or agents are they liable. If it was sold by an IFA then the IFA is liable.

The day that NU get the complaint, they will issue a letter explaining the complaints process and timescales. As you havent heard anything, chances are NU havent had the complaint sent to them or its been lost.

I suggest you raise the complaint again but do it through Norwich Union this time and not the FOS.
