Help do i claim against commerical union or norwich union arghhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi i dont know whether anyone can help me my mum is claiming she was missold her endownment poilcy in 1990 but it was with commerical then now it is with norwich union ,does anyone know who she claims against because i dont think commerical union is still going ,can anyone please shed some light on this if they have any info xxxx

It'll be Norwich Union - they would have taken on CU liabilities.

However IMHO it's probably too late.

AFAIK nearly all ex-CU policies are now time barred, as those with a short fall will have had their full series of red letters and their final "you've just got 12 months left" letter a couple of years ago.

Also you'd need to find out who sold the endowment originally (it may not have been a CU rep.), as the complaint, if there is one, would be against the advisor not the endowment provider!

If you don't have the details Aviva nee NU nee CGNU nee CU, may still have them on file, so a phonecall to them might be a good starting point.
