Glasgow (IBROX) to Kirkintilloch by bike

Hello,

Can anyone give me an idea what the above cycle is like is it okay to do on a day to day basis or do i have no chance of doing it. need to be under an hour prefrbly about 40 mins, am I just kidding myself?

    Hi there, I live in Kirkie and am a cycler. I dont think this is viable I am afraid.
    The route you would take is accross Bells bridge and then up, you can cut onto canal cycle path at Port Dundas and then you would be road free for the rest. I reckon it would be more like an hour though (it would take more an hour and a half).
    Where would you be working in Kirkie?
    You can get the train to Lenzie from Queen St in 10 mins or there are Xpress buses from Buchanan St.

    I did think that I was on a hiding to nothing. I will be trying it over the weekend to see how it is but I think that is will be combination of bike and public transport.
