Welcome Finance Arrears
HI Guys,
Avid reader of the website but my first post!
I have a personal loan unfortunately with Welcome Finance for 5500 I took out last July however I missed January's payment and now April I have missed, they are now getting quite aggressive on the phone telling me they will come and visit me at home etc.
I've told them I will pay it next Friday as I have some money due to me but I think they are targeted on arrears hence the heavy handed approach.
I hate the fact I have this loan and took it out because I was desperate at the time. Is this person at the branch trying to scare me? I've promised to pay it all next friday but she is adamant that she will call at my home.
I'm Self Employed so my money is up and down all the time.
Any ex employees of Welcome can shed some light on what is the standard practice? I dont want to be hiding for the next week!

Today is the last day of the month and they are no doubt trying to hit their collection targets.
The picture will look different to them in the morning and come next week they will be happy to receive your payment;)0 -
What did you expect them to say with 2 missed payments?0

I dont know, maybe "its ok we have written off the loan"
I asked for experiences not sarcasm0 -
As you and Brock have said, Welcome will be trying to hit their month end targets and spout out all sorts of threats to make people pay what they can't afford.
Chances are no one will come to your house, but if they do, just politely advise them to leave or you will call the police.0 -
If they do turn up don't do what this guy did
