Hi all,
following years of cajolling by my friends, family and colleagues I am prepared to dip my toe into trying to sell some of my paintings to earn a few extra pennies. However I have no idea how to start doing this! They all originals, done in gouache on canvas frames, from about 10x12" - 6ft x 4ft. Can anyone reccomend any websites which I could start with?
Thanks for reading, Dinah x

Hello, I have been on the mailing list for minigallery her in the uk for some time and have considered them for my own work but never had the time to paint! seem very well organised. another idea is to ask a local business if they would like to borrow one for 3 months for free on condition they post your card beside?

how about your local pub, or restaurant / bar? either sell direct, or on a commission basis- that way, they get great(??) art for nowt, customers gert changing scenery, and you get ££!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

There's always Ebay as well. Might be worth a try, check out the market and see what is selling well. Might give you some ideas.
Good luck0 -
Every so often local artists display their work in the librabry with a little card beside them. I don't know how it's arranged but ask your council do they do anything similar. I know one girl that has sold a few paintings after she asked different firms could she put them up in the works canteens.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Thanks for these great ideas everyone, I was telling a friend about my plans last night and shes said she'll ask the arts team in the office next to hers how the artists get into the council gallery too. I'm really excited now to be honest, thanks for all the ideas, I'm going to have to start making plans now!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
