OMG "Go that Mom" !!
Sounds like they have pushed her too far this time! I hope they learn their lesson....I know my nieces & nephews used to leave my sister's house looking like a landfill site no matter how much she yelled, pleaded, asked nicely, stropped...wahtever tactic she tried!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I thought this sounbded like a fab idea, but I have just read the post on ebay and I am not taken in, I think this is just someone selling their stuff on ebay in one lot, so that they don't have to pay for seperate lisitings 10/10 for originality though.Murphy's No More Pies Member No. 28 on hold0

I don't consider disapproval of a person (parent or not) selling other people's belongings without their consent for personal profit, to be particularly liberal or PC. As it happens I do take the liberal view in this case, i.e. that the thief should probably not be jailed!skintchick wrote:Oh for goodness' sake, what liberal PC nonsense is this?
They are kids, they leave the stuff everywhere, she is the parent, she warned them, she can do what she likes with it.
That's the toshiest* post I have ever read.
* Yes, that IS a new word!! I made it up all by myself!!
Yes, I'm quite aware it's with their knowledge - that's not the same as consent. Anyway, well done to the kids for that one!Spendless wrote:In part of it she says that one of her kids has turned the tables on her and put a purse (handbag) she left lying about in the box. So this must be with her familys knowledge.0 -

Oh come on! There's such a thing as taking a discussion too seriously.
Since she is auctioning it as "an empty box with gifts" she may not even send the kids' items once she has taught them a lesson (although maybe that would teach the wrong lesson!).
I for one will be watching the outcome for entertainment value!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003

I love it. Just showed it to my nearly 8 year old son and I think I frightened him a bit. You never know it might make him keep things tidy. Worth a try!!!!

I also told my 5 year old son and he said "Well thats not very nice, she should just ask them to put them away" I told him that the mummy does but they don't do it and he admitted that he doesn't always put away his things when I tell him too, and that maybe if he doesn't start I would put a box on ebay. This mother is not only going to teahc her own kids but also mine too. She deserves a medal!May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080

Contains_Mild_Peril wrote:Whether it's described as an empty box with free contents or not, surely the bottom line as that it is an auction for stolen goods, which is against eBay rules. As amusing as it may be for some, I'd be much more amused if the police reclaimed the goods and returned them to their owners, leaving the buyer out of the pocket, and the seller was banned from eBay.
No way is it stolen goods. She probably still has the receipts for most of them.keep smiling,
