Thanks - but understand that it wasn't my own idea, the charity has been running since 1991.Macnab wrote:
just logged onto your site, what a fantastic idea, are you the only area that does this or are there others in the uk?cheesy.mike wrote:ooh ooh we are posting our bike club URLs...
Mine is http://www.freewheelers.org.uk (I'm the webmaster and one of the blood bike riders)
There is another bloodbike group in Yeovil (also called Freewheelers), there is a group in the process of being setup in Dorset. A group in London called SERV ( http://www.serv.org.uk ) are quite active. I had thought about compiling a national directory because I know that there are some other groups out there as well. Maybe this will prompt me into action....

I called over to our local Aldi and came away with two pairs of Motorcycle boots, have to keep Mrs Seagull haapy !

For only £24.99 a pair the boots are good value, I already have bike boots but they don't keep my feet warm, the new pair are much better (gave them a test run this afternoon).
Thanks for the original link tio the deal. :j0 -
The Aldi boots do seem to come up really tight though... last years ones where a snug but exact match for my size 11's...
I am returning the size elevens I got last week, I have noticed that Busters are doing some nice Swift boots for £40 (more like racing boots but still waterproof)0 -
I have real hassle getting boots to fit over the top of my leathers and just can't do them up without enlisting help - anyone else have this trouble?0

I disagree. The Helmet must meet EU and the German TUV standards (which can be very strict). While some £200+ helmets might exceed these standards (and that's a big might) - the lidl helmet is perfectly sufficient.
What you won't get is the anit misting technology and airflow that you might get from a more expensive lid.
I recently replaced mine with HJC CL ST lid, but it served me well for a year.
The gloves look different to last year, becarful of pulling the lining out when you take your hand out - did this to mine after 5 months, however I managed to sort it and they are still going strong.
Many people hail the tank bag being great.0 -
Does anyone know if Lidl will be doing bike gear again anytime soon?:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0
