Sainsbugs are selling 4 cans of Branston Beans for £1.19. My wife, a real baked beans snob who previously wouldn't stray from Heinz, actually prefers them.Call me Carmine....

Coop sold them for a while and they are quite good.

Branston beans are the best. Heinz used to be good quality beans 10-15 years ago but they started mixing lower grade beans and thinning the sauce.
Here in N.Ireland they are usually 4 for £1 at various small outlets like SPAR.0 -

Branston ones are ok, not the best. They do big beans don't they (as well as normal and sugar free ones) ?
Anyway the thread was just to let people know, you don't have to buy them.

As for having shares in Heinz, I wish lol!
Where we live we only have Tesco, Coop and Lidl, as well as local shops, so we have to take advantage of any fo the deals we get!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Funnily enough, my wife's exact words after completing her first 'Branston Beans sampling session' was: 'They are like Heinz used to be'.
