Sony XDRS1 DAB Radio £64.99 at Argos

Argos currently have the Sony XDRS1 for sale at £64.99. A simple price check on Froogle will show that a lot of places are selling it at well over £100 and the cheapest price on Ebay is about £92 including delivery.

I've just got one and the sound and build quality is superb and every review i've read of it can't rate it highly enough.

* 2 x 2.3 watt output.
* FM/AM/MW analogue tuner with 10 station presets.
* 2 x 20 character display.
* Mega bass.
* Bass reflex system.
* 4 sound modes.
* Clock/timer.
* Optical output/MD link.
* Remote control requires 2 x AA batteries (supplied).
* Mains operation.

    The Pure Evoke range of DAB have a superior reception in weak signal areas.

    I was nearly tempted by one of these a while ago when they were £90, but lots of actual owners have said that reception is poor, and also there is no socket for an external aerial.

    None of this will matter if you live in a strong signal area, but if your normal TV/radio reception is not good, then this will not be good either.

    Funnily enough, the first review of it I checked out struck me as being fairly luke warm: http://www.digitalhomemag.com/reviews/default.asp?pagetypeid=2&articleid=34524&subsectionid=1302&subsubsectionid=939
    Thanks to all who post constructively.

    Seems quite a good review to me and as the review price was £155 and the Argos price is now £64.99 it's got to be a bargain.

    Can someone confirm whether or not this unit has an external aerial socket? I've got the impression from at least one review that it does, however this is not confirmed in any specification lists I can find.

    Thanks

    Aerial wise it has a standard single telescopic antenna.

    Its external connection sockets are A/C power cord, headphone, optical digital out, and line out and line in.
