Scrapping a car

Hi
I have a car that I need to ethier scrap or sell for parts, what I need to know
is if I take it to the scrapyard do they offer you money for it or not?

Any info appreciated, thanks.

    You used to have to pay them to collect a scrap car but then scrap metal prices flew sky high, i got £200 for an old fiesta before Xmas.

    They collected it, but they were local to me. Micra isnt to big so might not be worth a lot scrapped. If you are in the Ballymena/Cullybackey area give Jacky Kennedy a call, he breaks older stuff and buys anything
