Need to create drain or collect water.

My neighbour pointed out that my garage drain pipe from the garage roof simply ends at the ground, and not in a drain. Hence the water is just running onto the ground and flowing down a short bank and seeping into his shed.

Not sure how to go about fixing this, no idea how to create a drain - or maybe I should be collecting the water some way like in a barrel?

Any moneysaving tips on how I could fix this?

What about putting a water butt under it, would be great to collect the water especially for using in the garden

Check with your local council about getting one, if they don't supply them even as a discount, most local DIY shops have them, even tesco's has!!

If your not fussed on collecting the water, is it possible to route the drain pipe another way to an open drain?!

from my other half:
You need to dig a large hole as deep and as big as you can and fill it with stone, large at the bottom and finer on top. This will act as a soak away, not the best answer to your problem but it is a quick and cheap answer.
