just to let you know if you saw the news of the strike on friday its unlikely you will see much effect
its just some of the drivers and TBH from a delivery point of view it should be business as usual
perhaps one days delay for some items

"business as usual" - I translate that as usual rubbish service!
Having moved from SW Scotland, I cannot understand how our capital city can have such a poor service. It is quicker and cheaper to stand and scan a book, then email it, than send it by post after the queues in Morningside these days! Stop selling insurance and mobile top ups, and put the counter and delivery businesses back together. It used to make money.
sorry for the rant. the pills will kick in soon.

Was it just Friday then? We got a call on Thursday to say that our pick ups from work would be between 1pm and 3pm (which is not good at all when usually it is 5pm).

But the person on the phone couldn't tell me how long it would go on for  I'm not a fan of going way out of my way to post the things in the letterbox :p:o

doubt thats what affected your collections
most collections duties are covered outwith peoples regular duties anyway
this was just a one day thing, which IMHO was an execise in futility
