Can these phones be reset to work on both 3g and 2g? or is it a case of unlocking it to either all 3g networks or reseting it to all 2g networks?

Anyway I have just received my despatch email from Amazon and it looks like I'll be getting one of these in time for xmas and I only ordered on the 16th ;D

true, if these are just unlocked by imei they will revert to 3g when they can see that network.

They need a full factory reset so all menus show and you cen preselct ehich network you want as opposed to them being on auto.

I have the kit to do it, so let me know if anyone needs theirs unlocking.

Yeah these can be unlocked very easily, i forget the webiste but if you do a search for Nokia 7600 on here you will find it.

I can do the codes for these if you want to send me a private message...

My phone was ordered on the 8th and it still shows not yet despatched and with a delivery date of between the 17th and 24th December has anyone been waiting that long or am I very unlucky?

I managed to get one of these last time. Its now unlocked via Griffin Gold. You need it reset to factory setting to gain the missing menu that allows you to chose network. This can only be done by someone who has the kit. I got it done for a tenner in a shop. The software unlock does work but not to unlock the missing menu item. Belter phone if somewhat bulky.
Woth the money though. Paired up with 02 sim 300 free txt what more do you want.
