I have decided I would like to start going to pilates or yoga classes, I need to de-stress and this could help me.

I am a complete beginner (I hate exercise:p lol), are there any beginner classes in Newtownabbey/Belfast area, I don't mind travelling a wee bit.

I was thinking maybe all the classes have nearly finished? and will have to wait til Sept? A tad :o if starting in the middle of classes and havn't a clue what to do IYKWIM?

Any advice would be great

  • I don't live in those areas, but when I did live in Belfast, local health food shops used to have lots of ads in the window for classes, so you might find something there, or try the Crescent Arts Centre - did pilates there. Sorry don't know of any dates, but if it's near you you might want to call them.;)

A lot of Belfast/surrounding areas physio clinics run ongoing Pilates classes - think you might have to sign up for a course though. Give a few that are in right location a ring.

Sorry forgot, there is an inst or federation of yoga [similar wording] based in Belfast, they would be able to give info and steer you towards a qualified teacher.

Thanks everyone, I have found some run by Neil (Pilates) but most of them that would suit me are full, will get on the waiting list and hope for the best.

Will check out the physios and see if they can help.

    Thanks:beer:

There is a good class in Lisburn and Finaghy. Don't know if they are full. I could PM you the number if that isnt too far away.
