I bought 2, they arrived today. One works, one doesn't.
I opened the faulty one first, but after 20 minutes with it not working I opened the 2nd one to try that. That one was fine from the off. The broken one switches itself off when connected to the pc. Once connected it fails to respond to all button presses.
I've a Currys in town, so getting a refund should be fairly painless. All told, I'm delighted with the one that works. Well worth £25. I'll just have to find my dad another birthday present now... I suppose it'd have been worse if I'd opened the working one first, then wrapped up the faulty one I'd bought as a present.
