Am looking for cheap folding guest bed - but one with at least a 3" mattress, possibly with headboard. Would prefer a real mattress and not an inflatable.
Any suggestions for prices below £35.00 inc p&p
NB. Have tried ebay and get outbid every time upto my limit when taking p&p or pickup mileage into account. Location Oldham.
Thanks in advance.

Ikea.
They also do guest mattresses which will fit under an existing bed - just slide it out.0 -
Not that this answers your question but this is what I use...
A sun lounger... one with a thick padded cushion. I use a double quit folded in half on it for extra padding ... works fine as a guest bed and I use it all summer in the garden for its correct function...0 -
I have an IKEA folding bed for occasional guests and I slept on it myself to check it was OK. Not very wide but even though the mattress isn't very thick, it was pretty comfortable.Marsh Samphire0

Thanks guys for your comments. I had a look at Ikea but didnt see anything suitable.
However after a mammoth search on a search engineI came up with loot.co.uk and typed in my postcode and the distance willing to travel and found one on sale.
OK it was the other side of Manchester but thought £30 for a sprung guest bed wasnt bad. After viewing and seeing hesitant the vendor dropped the price by £10 so for £20 I have a serviceable guest bed. Costing in the petrol mileage - £5.00 total was £25. So £10 under budget :T
For others searching here is a resume:
Argos value 2-3" mattress on wood slat base £35
Argos value 4" mattress on sprung base £60
Ebay Folding/guest bed(new) 4" mattress £39.00 + (£15 p&p) Buy it now many similar auction sales
Edelledirect Flexi Folding Guest Bed 2" mattress £45 (+£10 p&p)
And onward and upward
Happy bargain hunting.Veteran Bargain Hunter -

FWIW my local Sainsburys (a "Market" one near Victoria) had a small stack of folding guest beds (metal framed, folds in half) for £30 each.
Not sure of the thickness of the matress, but didn't look very padded, so at a guess probably 2" rather than thicker. But possibly worth it as something to store and use as an emergency.

Perhaps Sanya1995, Parkside_Stroller, Cheesy.mike and Marshsaphire would like to give the link to this folding bed because I cant see it on their website.Veteran Bargain Hunter -
