Ipod touch vs ipod classic???

I am in desperate need of a new ipod, my 2nd generation mini has died a death now and i want to update my collection anyway so its time for the electronic graveyard for my faithful friend.
The question is does anyone have an opinion on which is better between the touch and the classic. I am being swayed by the applications and special features of the touch such as the wi-fi and games etc but feel I am forgetting the real reason i want the ipod - for my music!!!
Can anyone shed any light and help me make a decision based on what you guys have experienced with either please??

I think there will be a new wave of iPods in the summer.. along with a new iPhone
I like my iPod Classic. 80gb of space for video and music. I can change song/volume as a i walk along without looking at the screen.
Until the iPod touch/iPhone get to 64gb of storage, i'm not touching them0 -
Hi,
I have only ever used an Ipod touch, so I have voted for that. I have a 16gb 1st gen and my boyfriend has a 32gb 2nd gen. I think they are nice and sleek looking plus they have wifi and you can play games which is handy if you are stuck somewhere with nothing to do!

I've read that you are slightly restricted with the touch in respect of being locked in to itunes? is this true as well?"He that is of the opinion money will do everything may well be suspected of doing everything for money." Benjamin Franklin0

Yes, you can only use the Ipod touch with Itunes. I thought this was the case with all ipods but maybe not.

I have an iPod touch, they are amazing

And they are alot lighter and thinner than other ipods, and they crash less
Also i have a cover for mine which turns it into a mirror when the screen is not in use
