Im still waiting for Primark to do suits ;)

That ones quite smart actually, and for £25, bargain.

I dont own a suit, but for £25, I might get one. Could come in handy.

    Thanks
    :)

My oh bought this suit last year (as he needed a new one in a hurry for a funeral), and everyone was remarking how smart he looked. Definately worth £25:D

    Polyester held together with prayers.

Tesco are doing a similar £30 effort which looks like it has been made from their "Value" bin liners.

Seriously people, you would be better off with one from a charity shop or ebay. The glare off these things would put the interviewer right off......

I think the ASDA suits are well worth the money for occasional use.

On the other hand i bought a gorgeous 1960`s italian designer suit with waistcoat, for £14 off ebay for my oh. Cost £50 in alterations but it looks superb on! There are definately bargains out there if you look:D

Primark do suits now, incidentally, and often reduce them even further from the already low prices - I bought a grey pinstripe Butler & Webb one there on Saturday for £16 (!) - polyester/viscose mix but doesn't have the terylene sheen of the Asda one :rotfl: and my wife actually mistook it for one of my Ted Baker ones.

If you want a good cheap suit, then BHS is your best bet - their last promotion was a good quality well cut suit (sometimes wool mix), a shirt, a tie, and a pair of £30 leather shoes for £69. If you want a more upmarket suit then you can get a Ted Baker Endurance III for £149 (retail £299) at McArthur Glen York. And if you want bespoke there's a Saville Row tailor who's been advertising in the Observer lately, doing any suit for £399 (usually up to £3K!).

I had to buy a new suit in a hurry last year as I had put on a lot of weight quickly and then my other suit wouldn't fit. At 8pm on a Saturday night where can you buy one
ASDA - That's where. And for £25 I think it was a bargain as I have since worn it at a couple of funerals. It's black and made of polyester. Very lightweight but that's how I like my suits as I don't like to be too hot. It actually looks and feels very smart so, for the price, I'd suggest it's worth keeping one in the wardrobe even as a spare - Just in case it's you who rips your trousers on a Saturday night :T
