Anyone had Blackpool OR? Phone interview on thurs!!!

She's called miss pass.

Hope she doesn't mind a moaning 2 year old in the background!

Nervous. I had alot of debt, 50k.

Lots of personal issues which she's prob heard before and won't care about but all contributed to this mess.

Feeling very low

My OR is the one from Blackpool too, I have only spoken to Michelle I think and I don't know her last name, and it was all done on the phone.

I spoke to her during the court thing for about 5mins and then it was either Michelle or someone who worked there for the main interview which only lasted about 10 mins.

I then rang Michelle as I got my job back and informed her about it.
Apart from that I haven't really been in contact with them they did say they will send me some paperwork as I will be getting paid again but that was last month and nothing has come yet, although I did mention I won't get paid until the 30th for the first time since being re-employed, so they may be waiting for that to see how much I get and how much I can afford:confused:
I found them to be very pleasant and understanding and I even shared some humour .
I know it can seem daunting and it was for me until I got nattering away and the next thing I knew it was all over and as I have said we didn't talk for that long really.
When they ring they know you will be nervous so don't worry about fluffing your lines and getting flustered they are only human and will understand.
Like I have said in other threads there is a saying in the army "at least they can't make you pregnant" which worked for us no matter what we had to put up with. (It may not work in every body's situation but it always brings a smile to my face when I am down)
Good Luck and don't let them get you down.

    Hi ttt,
I am in bpl court on thurs so will be in the same situation as you soon. From what I have read on here, bpl or's seem reasonable and polite but obviously this may not apply to them all!
Did you do the usual bpl court thing and just take your papers down and then got called to return back on the monday for judge decision or are they working any diffrent now with being so busy? ;)

Good luck for Thursday and I will be there on Friday. I just wanted to mention that if you completed your forms online check the 6.28 forms to make sure everything was printed out. For some reason on the 5.2 section of my form the 'Type of card' field was blank when I printed the form but the online version had Visa/Mastercard, etc.entered.

Didn't actually use Blackpool courts. My original OR was in Liverpool but they must have been too busy and passed it over.

It's nice and sunny here but I still feel as though there's a big black cloud hanging over me. I know I'll probably end up crying during my interview. I hate talking about what's happened to me. I feel as though I'm useless. The only thing that keeps me going these days is my son. My dad died years ago and I know he would be so ashamed of me. I don't have any family to support me. Just feel very lonely and lost right now.

    Sorry.
  • There is no need to feel useless and depressed regarding your BR. You have found a way out of your financial situation and the OR interview tomorrow will be fine. The OR's are only there to understand how you got into the financial difficulties and to see if you need to pay an IPA or not.

You will feel much better after the OR interview and that will be the beginning of your new, debt-free life.

No, but I heard the Earth moved there this week. :rotfl:

 Okay, I wanted to post that last night but held back. I am in the town myself Friday, but for another reason entirely. Earth won't move for me, though. Never does. ;)
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

Yes merlin you are right the earth did move yesterday morning. I was at work and the wheels on my office chair were vibrating! Very strange. I thought I had been possessed.

  • hi, my or is in Blackpool, she's called Mrs Bates & she was lovely!! I was pooping my pants before the phone call & i had my 19month old dd with me at the time. She told me if i needed to stop at any time to see to her just say & she would hang on 5 mins for me. She was really understanding about the situation, not patronising or anything. Had a few phone calls since, she is really helpful. I hope your or is as nice as mine,
    good luck xx
