Automatic Tax Rebate?

Apologies for posting again!

I have yet to receive my P60U or any rebate from the Job Centre/DWP/Inland Revenue, although I didn't sign off JSA until 11th April. Has anyone received an automatic tax rebate through with their JSA?

I received a P45 from the Job Centre but not received any P60U or any rebate.

Any ideas on accelerating the Tax Rebate period? I am going to try and start a business as their simply are no jobs but I really need this rebate to help me along. Any ideas when?

Thanks again

You don't need the P60U as you have a P45. If the P60U is like the P60 you only get that if your currently employed so I would imagine that you only get the P60U if you are currently receiving JSA.

Your P45 should be enough to organise your refund for tax year 08/09.

You will receive a P60U as you were signing on as at 5/4/09. However, if you have not received your tax refund by now, I dont think the JC are going to do it. You will therefore need to wiat for your P60U in order to send it to your tax office to ask for your refund. The P45 which you will receive on signing off will be for this tax year and will ahow JSA received but no tax.

  • Apparently the JSA missed my rebate and although I have my P45 from leaving my last employment I still need the P60U to claim my money back! I am told this could arrive at any time!! Useful hey!! Thanks again for your help and good advice.
