    I would write to them asking for a full breakdown of the charges - make them justify them. There's a proper letter for this but I don't know where to find it, someone should be along in a minute to get it to you

    as this is a catalogue debt i would now send them the letter asking for the signed credit agreement.
    you have been quite patient enough with them but doing this will mean that you could pay them just the amount you say, less a little for time inconvienience and stress over the last 2 years.

    if you know you signed the agreement then obviously the above action would be no good.
