what can i use patte in?

ok i decided to open my patte today only to realise it goes out of date on thursday what can i make with it because im not at home for the next to day :S

    You can freeze pate. I freeze my homemade stuff.

    Pate will last quite a few days past its sell by date if kept in the fridge and enclosed in cling film.

    No need to be a slave to these artificial deadlines.

    If it smells good and tastes good, then there is an extremely good chance that it is good.

    I wish we were still in the days when they actually expected people to have enough common sense to judge whether something is edible or not, then maybe I wouldn't have to remove the wrapper from cheese cos my daughter thinks it's too far out of date - the older the better as far as I'm concerned.

    Sorry about that rant!! Anyway, on that note, pate does freeze beautifully too!

    If you dont want to freeze it then why not make beef wellington? or stuff chicken breasts with it, failing that if you melt some butter and pour it over then it acts as a seal and pate will last FOREVER! until you break the seal it makes.
