you dont even know me, and by the way that is NOT the comp i entered it was from fullhouse mag i normally only enter comps that i want to win or holidays and trips that i know i can make it too, ya trying to make out im selfish or summit for entering a comp which the prize has no use
the glasses are going to a friend of mine who has a little boy so the prize is not wasted at all0 -

I also am not blanket-having a go at everyone but by the same token, why enter for a competition you'll not use the prize for? I've worn specs since I was little and they're expensive even with an NHS voucher, so if I'd entered that competition and read your post, it would have irked me too. Who enters competitions without reading what the prize is, and/or the T*Cs anyway?
quite a few by the sounds of it, since you accepted a prize that somebody was offering bet ya didnt complain about it then
im saying nothing else all i see on the site now is !!!!!ing dunno why people feel the need to moan and whinge i am grateful to all that posts comps but its the same names that crop up all the time with snotty remarks ,new compers should be welcomed and not be expected to know all the rules0 -
shouldnt of really annoyed anybody in the first place, worse things going on in the world than that0

Hi , I thought it was the one from Full House when i read your post earlier as i've also won it, i think the problem is that when the mag comps are posted they're in a list like this..
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1602855&highlight=full+house
and even the entry online doesn't state how many or the actual t & c's for the prizes, unless the person has bought the magazine themselves & read through the prizes listed in the magazine the members on here who enter won't really know what the full prize consists of,
ie: Issue 16/17 just says for example 15 x cd's,
could be Opera, rock n roll or whatever ..
It can be the same with the majority of the weekly mags, and the take a break monthly, Puzzler monthly ones, unless the OP states each prize individually it's not always easy to know the full prize on offer, and you can't really leave out entering it if just states ' Win with Vision Express & Ted Baker ' as i recall it being headed something like that in the mag, but i didn't type all the inns & outs .. maybe we shouldplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Well done on your win :T
I made the same mistake once and entered a Hornby Train Collectors' giveaway: I was obviously after a trainand got a totally different prize.
I also won beauty products which I did not choose: most of them were fab but since the prize sponsors chose it, part of it included colours that I don't wear etc ...so I gave these away too..
Hope your friends' boy likes them0 -
Yeah sometimes a runner up prize will turn up and you'll think 'when did I enter that?!'
Hope your friend's little boy enjoys his posh glasses... would love to win some for myself, might have even tried to squeeze my head into the child pair if I'd won... lol!
