50p here too.... cdwows promotions are looking to be a bit of a con.

I don't think it's really an scam in terms of law, perhaps slightly immoral (but then again, they are giving away free stuff) , all they need to do is give out two £8.75 vouchers or so and they will have done what they stated.

Before when they have done the same there hasn't been an image verification thing, and I set something up to send 25,000 vouchers. Not a joke. And not a single one was for £5 or £8.75.

Is it possible that they've spotted that the 25,000 entries all came from the same IP address? (assuming that you haven't actually got the use of 25,000 computers?)

Maybe they are giving out 50p vouchers in the hope that people who normally use other sites will use them and that will offset the cost of the Time-Out and Mirror promotions which they must lose money on?

Tried 35 times with different emails (1 - 35@mydomain etc) - all 50p - no 25p or £8.75 but all different codes - suggest 50p is all that they do.

CD-WOW's virgin.net promotion seems better than this one - at least it does give you £1 codes and even (rarely) £2 codes - http://www4.cd-wow.com/promotion.php?promo_refcode=15855_0
