Leeds Combined Court - anyone been there?

Just wondered what the process was like at Leeds as that will be the court I apply to. Also, do you get to speak to an OR on the day at the court or do they phone you later the same day? Any help would be great.

Hi Late,
Don`t know Leeds Court but they do take overflows from other areas & the ORs seem OK.
Sorry not much help really!!0 -

Thanks for trying. Its not so much the ORs I'm worried about more the process, especially when I'll be phoned initially - I'd rather not put my work number as a contact but if I don't get an initial OR contact on the day I go to court then I'll have to (not allowed mobiles at work).BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500 -
Personally I`d put mobile number with a note to leave a message & you will return call. Thats all you can do.....don`t put work number down...its not something you want to have to explain to work colleagues !
BTW I know West Yorks very well....worked in Leeds for 5 years...reallly miss it! (West Yorkshire not the work
! ) 0 -

Thanks, though most of the folks at work already know - only a small place. I'll use your suggestion about the message on the mobile though.
I love it 'up North' but only moved here about 5 years ago, last 4 being in Leeds. I spent most of my life (not saying how long though :rotfl:) living 'down south', including some time on the coast.BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500 -
Used to have family in Leeds. I love it up there. Ilkley moor, Skipton sock shop and market, and Linton Falls at Grassington. Harry's fish and chips. And The Lakes is do-able in a day too.

Hi Late,
I didn't actually go BR at Leeds but my case is with the OR in Leeds and they are mega busy. You should have a brief phone call before you leave the court building - I was asked if there was anything urgent they needed to deal with - creditor harassment and did I have a BR friendly bank account? I then didn't hear from them for a couple of weeks and my interview was after 6 weeks. They are fine with leaving messages on a mobile if neccessary, don't worry.

I have actually spoken to the Leeds OR office & agree they are extremely busy....in fact I`ve still not had a response to a land registry question relating to BI that I asked them last September. Does`nt matter now anyway as the house will be repossessed.
My exOH was `dealt with` by Leeds OR.

Morning Ange,
Hope you are keeping well.....
When you ring the Leeds OR office, it sounds like a madhouse which I must admit gave me a sense of comfort that I must be "small fry" to them and can keep my head down and creep through my BR year without too much hassle from them...... lol

Yes...that was exactly my impression too !!! Everyone is really just a case number at the end of the day .0 -
Thanks everyone, one less thing to worry about. Although they know at work I'd rather try and keep as much of it away from there as possible. The mobile phone and message sounds like the best way and being able to speak to them on the day of court sounds great.
LM - I too have been made an honourary Yorkshire man, though in my case its really 'lass'!!
