You mean themselves? Highly unlikely they will do it any time soon.
You are better off calling them and sorting it out. While it's not a huge amount...
Alternatively if you don't want to wait for P60s to arrive, take all 24 payslips for the last 12 months and add gross pay and tax pay together and post it up (that will give us the same figures as P60 would).
We want April 08 - March 09 payslips (if you are paid monthly).0 -
P.S.: Once they receive P60s from both employers and process them they will know that and chase you for the owning amount. But that can take at least another 2 months, and in my experience the bigger amount they were owed, the quicker they wanted to collect it from you.. (higher tax payment and therefore less net pay).
How long has this been going on? Because without the P60s they don't know which NI number paid what tax - that is the whole idea of P60 form. So if it is only this year where you have 2 jobs, they won't know how much you personaly paid yet.0 -
think its just this year, also dont have all my payslips maybe a few dnt think all of them??:mad:0

So your husband doesn't keep his P60 (from another thread) and you don't even keep all of your payslips...
Dear girl, you better pull your paperwork together, otherwise HMRC will slap you for anything and you won't be able to argue if they make a mistake! (which wouldn't happen for the first time)
Let's wait for the P60s then, because noone can give you any answer from "few payslips".0 -
sowieee lol, i have i think nearly all of them, but in no order. Im just worried tho cause my cleaning job employers are really funny, and im worried if they find out im working somewhere else they may try and get rid of me?
cause they were funny about it before, when i used to be doing 2 jobs, they kept complaining etc 0 -
They will find out anyway if they understand taxes.
Because once HMRC catches up with you, they will change a tax code to BR (basic rate) at the lesser paid job. So if they know anything about taxes, they will realise.
If they don't, then you might as well do it now. Either way, you will end up paying owed tax and have change of tax code.0 -
oh great! i think thats just daft, if they find out before i sort it out will they just start deducting it from my earnings or ask me to pay it all back in a large lump sum?:eek:0
-
I think they will send you a letter asking to pay if you don't speak to them.
Then you will call them and tell them you cannot afford that and can they collect it through your tax code and they most likely will agree.
At least that is what happened to our employees in the past.0 -
hey thanks for all the advise! i dont see y i should chase them tho, they should know these things. I hate this country they are supposed to work out all your tax for you and if your paying it right!0
-
As I said before - they do not know who is paying what until the P60s for the year arrive. So they couldn't know.
The form you mentioned you completed in post no 3 I suspect didn't say only "is this your main job" but also "is this your ONLY job"...
At least if it was form P46 - "employee without P45" which is the form used for such a circumstances as yours. Then they would know you have two jobs and change your tax code accordingly..0
