Vegan Marshmallows? Do they even exist?

Hello all!

Does anyone know of where Vegans can purchase marshmallows? I asked at Holland and Barrett and the shop assistant looked amazingly blank!

    I just did a quick Google and a few vegan ones popped up.

    Maybe you could make them yourself.

    www.veganstore.co.uk sell them but are always out of stock

    http://www.sweetvegan.co.uk/ also sell them and is one of there main items so should be in stock

    There are recipes about, but they don't seem to get good reviews, so i've not tried any myself. If you try any and are successful, please let us all know!

    Brilliant! Thanks for the responses. I will NOT be attempting to make them. What a waste of fire force time that would be... ( Sorry to disappoint Ephemera! )

    I found vegan and veggie sweets + marshmallows on http://www.scrumptioussweets.co.uk/ and they charge a flat rate for postage so better than sweetvegan ( though what a funky website ).

    Has anyone read the book of Vegan sources? I have a copy somewhere but I think it's fairly old. Has a new edition come out?

    I received my order from Scrumptious Sweets and their marshmallows for vegans are incredible! I also got vegan sweeties and am really pleased. Checked today and looks like they're on special offer now which I missed out on. http://www.scrumptioussweets.co.uk/product_details.asp?id=338 Oh well. I may just have to buy some more!

    Good luck with those of you attempting to make them yourselves and for those with less courage I suggest these - delicious! I can't remember the last time I had Marshmallows...!
