Help please with sewing pattern?

We have a fancy dress event we go to each year and I usually manage to kit us out quite cheaply from ebay. This year though I decided to take the plunge and try to make my own. I have two girls who want supergirl costumes (about £30 to buy ready made), and I've bought a pattern. My problem is I have no idea how to read it to find out how much fabric I need to buy, I can't see anything obvious on it?
My mum was a super dressmaker but I'm afraid I didn't take much notice, I think I know how to pin the pattern etc and can use the sewing machine but that's about it

for sewing help, you might be better in a more specialised forum, e.g www.thesewingforum.co.uk there are people there from beginners through to professionals and a very helpful bunch, you might find someone who has done this type of costume before and is able to help.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
