I just got the call too - said there was a technical error on the auction and that I was welcome to bid if the mattress came on auction again.

well as me and some others were told they had been recalled....do we know who manufactered them so we can find out the truth maybe?
i am soooo mad they are telling different reasons!

obvious really they just dont want to sell them at £1 of course you are welcome to bid again and yes we will despatch it next time when you have paid £150+ for it, so yes there was a fault as it shouldnt have been £1 and they have realised the mistake, very unlikely they have been recalled would be strange if they had only recalled the £1 ones

I think they had the price wrong somehow, it had gone far too low, these mattresses sell for quite a bit usually, they maybe only noticed after the bidding closed. Not sure how the law would stand on this one but if it seems too good to be true it usually is!

how can it just be the 1 pound ones that are faulty and recalled though?

Iam very surprised they honoured the aukura tv and freeview monitors that went for a £1 a few months ago.

they arnt, they dont want you to have it at £1, thats just the excuse they are giving you, if that was really true they would just send you a different one
