Ideas for dd 15th birthday celebration?

Hi all, we are giving my daughter £100 cash and a few presents to open on her birthday but are stuck as to what she can do with her pals to celebrate.

She doesn't want them here at home because she did that last year, year before we had them all at a local country park where we had a barbeque pit.

All her friends parents seem to manage to let them go for a meal, (v sophisticated these 15yr olds now you see!) but we're talking roughly 10 kids and unfortunately our funds won't run to that!

We've said we can use the £100 we were going to give her, but you can imagine the reaction :rotfl:She's such a lovely child and really does deserve a treat but about £50 would really be our limit....our twins are 14 5 weeks later you see....and what one gets the others all want too!!

Any good cheap suggestions??

  • Could you maybe try and arrange with one of the department stores to let them get their make up done, most of them do give free trials. Not sure how this would work with 10 or so, but suppose there isn't any harm in asking. You maybe make them up a party bag as such, with a disposable camera (couple of £ each) in it for each of them to take photos of the day and put other things in the bag such as sample perfumes/moisturisers (free from department stores) and the like.
  • Going for a meal....Would Pizza Hut be good enough? If you go between 3 - 6 its happy hour, and its really cheap. 2 people for £7, and you get a pizza each, a starter and a coke. They will make the area look party-e with balloons and banners if you ask them too when you book, and you can take a cake if you want.

If not, Pizza Express used to do parties quite cheaply, and that really is a classy place. Frankie and Bennie's will also do parties quite cheap, depending on whether or not you have one near you and its actually nice.

Lay out some make up in a room with some mirrors and leave them to make themselves beautiful. Give them an hour or so, and then go to the restaurant. Play girls aloud etc in the car, and let them walk in like grown ups.

If you don't want to do a restaurant, turn your kitchen into one. Let them make their own pizzas, or serve spag bol, etc. Then let them have a girly sleepover with facepacks/popcorn/a film.

It'll be party of the year!
    Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:

  • Ok so there will be boys there, they could be the guinea pigs with the girls new found make up techiniques, lol.

Has you daughter got any keen interests or hobbies?
Have you asked your daughter on the type of thing she would like?
Could the girls maybe go for the make up thing, and then they and the boys could all meet back up at your house. Get them to make up non-alcoholic cocktails. A few websites do fantastic ones, and am sure they will have fun mixing the drinks a la "tom cruise in cocktail" if they are not too young to remember the film lol. They could then have music and have a party/dance thing or even put on dvds and have popcorn with their cocktails, lol.
