courier pick up help?

Need some help im interested in buying items on auction and it has collection only becuase of weight i suppose,but seller says i can arrange a courier and will do his best his side.
Well does anyone know a service that can say be ordered online or over the phone that a pickup can be done and and delivered to me and at a good cheap price.
I have had parcels collected from my house and delivered to the buyers before but not collected from a seller and delivered to me anyone used couriers before to do this,if so let me know who and time frame etc they took as i am interested in buying this items if i can have it collected and delivered.

I've used Pharos International for courier deliveries. They used to be the cheapest but put there prices up so I think they may be fractionally more expensive but I've only had one missed delivery from them which turned out to be more a problem with UPS.
You can go through their online quote and book the collection address. It takes the money off your card so no payment required by the person who they collect the parcel from. The UPS form does need to be filled out which is normally done by the whover it is being collected from. They send detailed instructions including a picture to follow so the sender shouldn't have a problem.

I've used senditquick.com (or might be .co.uk ?) and interparcel.com for collecting at someone else's address and delivering to me.

Senditquick takes larger packages, but if you register with interparcel you get a further 5% of the quoted prices, so may work out less expensive. Both use parcelforce (interparcel gives you choices of other companies too).
