Hi All
I really need help getting my life in order. I used to be very old style in my ways though over the past few years things have slipped
as the daily grind of long hours at work and being a single mum trying to do it all took over.
Now my children and I and my partner have all moved in together. He has a number of debts that are hangovers from his marriage and as such for us to tackle these effectively I figure that getting back into my old styling habbits would be a good way to start
So area's I need to tackle are food planning and bugeting, we have been spending far to much on food and I want to half this over the next few months from £400+ to £200 . Any suggestion in this area would be greatfully excepted.
Cleaning as my standard have slipped some what as I try to get a work/life balance and give time to my kids. I plan to join the weekly flylady thread and see if it helps
Reuse and recycle this is also something I have not done as much over the last while.
Please can you help me rediscover my old styling roots

I've got my faults, but living in the past isn't one of them. There's no future in it.

Hi brighterfuture,
Welcome to MSE :hello:
The Grocery Challenge might help you to reduce your food spending. It's a great thread where you'll get lots of help and support in cutting your grocery bills. The May challenge will begin on Tuesday.

brighterfuture - with the grocery challenger, don't try to reduce it too much too quickly. Your husband, kids and yourself will all need time to adapt your tastes to what's bought. You need them all 'on board' for this to work - if they're all feeling 'badly done to' you'll finish up fighting a losing battle with them.
Best of luck, I'm sure you'll succeed - and there's lots of help and support around this board and threads for if you get stuck.
