insurances??

what are all the insruances for that they offer you
and what ones would you adivse taken, or not needed? etc
we have been qouted extra 90£ a month for insurance ontop of payments

that was buildings anc contents
mortgag ppi?
sickness
life insrunace

    The questions you ask should be placed with the adviser. They know your need areas better than we do. They also have a responsbility (within FSA rules) to recommend you cover those need areas (and not just a random selection).

    £90 pm doesnt seem excessive but it depends on your area and what type of adviser you are using. If you are using a bank or tied agent then you should easily get cheaper through an IFA or independent mortgage adviser.

    Remember that you are taking on a liability owning a house under a mortgage which involves risk. The insurances help cover some of those risks. Whether you want to cover all risks or not is a personal decision but the adviser doesnt need to make you aware of them all.
