Don't use internet booking, phone Travelodge central reservations. If they've spare rooms, they may offer you the reduced rate despite not being 21 days in advance.

We have stayed at a few through the years and are quite happy. The rooms are usually very clean , with simple decor , and in our experience comfy beds. We normally stay in a family room , and generally find that we have to "make up" the sofa, although plenty of linen is provided , with the option to get extra from reception . AT £26 a night it is a steal, at £10 it is fab. HTH x
