Having been on a DMP for two years things have been up and down and not easy .We had a agreement with RBS one of our biggest creditors for six months , now the six months is up . Phone calls have started hubby dealt with the first call and went to through an advisor who demand £700 a month which we have'nt got .
Then we continue to having phonecalls all day (ironically my birthday) we have never missed any payments and have tried to raise our payments to RBS each month..

Having had threats from them before for a CO , if they get a CO can they add the interest like 7% each year if you have signed a 1974 credit agreement . We are also in a disagreement with them over ppi which has added 5k to the debt of the loan.
Has anyone else dealt with RBS , we have already been to court with two other creditors Nationwide and NR . The court process i'm not scared about it's just the interest each year add to the CO that i'm worried about .

Firstly happy birthday! Sorry you have had hassle today of all days.
Are you on a DMP with one of the debt charities? If so could they negotiate with RBS? You should be paying each creditor a pro-rata amount I think, so don't be persuaded to increase the amount you pay to one. Apart from anything else you don't want to start missing payments because you are overstretched - not exactly the purpose of a DMP!

Thank you for replying . Yes we are with payplan they have been fantastic . But all the time we've been with Payplan (2 years) RBS haven't been easy to deal with . Expecting them to go for a charging order this time as we can't increase any payments at the moment .
Do all CO's have interest added as this a 25k loan with RBS so i'm concerned about the interest being added.

Hi CQcraftingqueen wrote: »this a 25k loan with RBS so i'm concerned about the interest being addedClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
Hi 10past6 it is £25k plus £4k ppi but we are fighting them on the ppi .
