in Cutting tax
Hi All,
Sorry to post another of these questions. My situation is a little different to some but Im sure similar to many.
I have opted out of my company car and the company now pays me an allowance of £650 per month gross. They also pay for my business fuel via a fuel card. They do not pay me any other 'per mile' allowance.
I have done 12000 business miles in this last tax year in my own 'opted out' car.
So I guess using the AMAPS system I would be eligible to calim tax relief of:
10000 x 40p = £4,000
2000 x 25p = £500
Total = £4,500
I know Im supposed to take something off this figure but as my company does not pay anything on a 'per mile' basis Im not sure what that value should be if anything. Can anyone help?:p
