Time scale for CSA????

A friend has just been telling me that he's had a visit from a court official who was after maintenance payments for his children - he has had no contact from them for over 10 years (they are now 22 and 24) and as far as he knew the CSA was not involved. He has had no contact from his ex wife for several years either ....... is there a time limit to recoup unpaid maintenance, like a 'statute barred' debt after 6 years?? Apparantly he made some arrangement with his wife on their divorce but every now and then she wacks him with 'unpaid maintenance' charges. Any info would be most welcome - thank you.

Not sure on non-csa maintainance. At a guess she can obtain some kind of court order for unpaid maintenance. If she gets a CCJ then it never goes away.0

A CCJ will only 'go away' once it has been satisfied and a certificate of satisfaction obtained from the awarding County Court, it can then be removed, but only then.0
