Most important question you need to answer is; what do you intend to use it for?
I think you can categorize most usage patterns into the following 5.
1) Watching broadcast SD? (standard definition)
2) Watching DVDs?
3) Watching broadcast HD? (sky, free sat, freeview hd - when it comes out in 2010)
4) Playing games? (PC, xbox 360, ps3)
5) Watching Blueray movies?
Almost all TVs can do them all; but few can do them all well.
So, you either pay over the odds & get an all-singing-all-dancing top-of-the-range TV, or you compromise and try to find a set that best matches your expected needs.
So tell us which of the above are most likely to be important to you, and someone can probably come up with a recommendation!
Also, you might want to try asking here :-

There are many tv experts there, who will offer honest opinions on almost all of the current ranges.0 -
