I will write to the Head Office. I don't mind them reminding me that this kind of cover is available, or asking if I would like to reconsider my original decision - but - I do think that it is wholly inappropriate for them to insinuate that the only choices I have are to take the cover or sign a declaration to say how i would repay the mortgage. I wonder what they would do if I said that I would not bother to pay if I lost my job? What could they do at this stage? I do not want any compensation, I am just very annoyed by the tone of the letter.0

take it you're with the leek united building society then because i recieved one too on sat morning. Ripped it up and it went in the bin even though it says they will be contacting me again in two weeks time.
After being with them for 9 years and not missing a single monthly payment, i find the letter offensive and dislike the bullying tactics involved. My lock in is up in july and this might just play a role in me moving to another lender.0 -
